Serotta Colorado Ti
I picked this frame up on eBay as a complete bike. It was a frankenbike in all sense of the word - Sora crank, mismatched wheels, nashbar brakes, crappy seat - the works. But below the parts is a gorgeous example of one of the finest bike makers in the country doing what they do best with a beautiful material like Titanium.
Serotta is based in upstate NY, near Saratoga Springs. It was founded with the idea that the bikes they make are, while factory produced, are each unique and special. They say, "We build every Serotta as if it's the only Serotta we'll ever build - with no compromises." This maxim really shows in their materials, workmanship and attention to detail.
This is the Colorado Ti version of their venerable Colorado frame. This frame has been produced by Serotta for many years.
Look at this beautiful and clean seat cluster. Simple, elegant and beautifully put together.
This Serotta uses a proprietary CCTi Design with most-likely custom sourced Titanium tubing.
Small details like this are all over this bike. Thought-out and special. The ride of the bike is excellent. Too bad that it was about an inch too long on the top tube for me. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to get rid of it for anything.
